Michelle has spent more than a decade managing large-scale commercial real estate in downtown Hamilton, building a reputation for tenant-focused management, disciplined capital stewardship, and a genuine commitment to the communities she works in. As Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Markland Property Management, she oversees Markland’s downtown Hamilton office portfolio — one of the most complex and tenant-dense environments in the region.
A graduate of the University of Guelph with a degree in International Development, Michelle brings a people-first perspective to property management. She has led extensive capital expenditure programs across her portfolio, including national tenant build-outs, major mechanical replacements, and significant structural improvements. Michelle is a long-time member of the Downtown Hamilton BIA board and a lifelong Hamilton resident — someone who genuinely cares about the city’s trajectory and sees every property she manages as part of a larger story of urban renewal.
As a Co-Founder of Markland Capital, Michelle contributes her deep knowledge of tenant relationships and asset operations to the Fund’s investment platform, helping ensure that repositioned properties deliver the quality of experience that drives lease-up and long-term retention.
